There is something wonderfully unpredictable about writing.
Sometimes you begin with a simple idea, a modest word count, and a clear destination in mind.
And then the characters decide they have other plans.
That is exactly what happened with Outpost 37.
What began as a contest entry quickly became something much larger. Every chapter introduced new mysteries, new worlds, and characters who simply refused to remain in the background. Win's investigation into a remote colony has grown into a sprawling science-fantasy adventure filled with sentient A.I., ancient conspiracies, hidden civilizations, psychic mysteries, and unlikely friendships.
From the endlessly loyal dragon A.I. Vox, to the wonderfully suspicious Weatherby, to new faces like Cecily, this story has become one of the most enjoyable worlds I've had the privilege to write.

This is only the beginning.
Rather than forcing the story into an artificial ending, I've decided to let it grow into the adventure it was always meant to be.
