Kitsune's Intervention: A Case of a Very Inconvenient Youkai – Pocket Tale No. 17 | Japanese Folklore & Urban Fantasy eBook
One suspicious husband.
One meddlesome fox spirit.
And five hundred years of supernatural trouble waiting to happen.
Mindy Caillis knows her best friend's husband is cheating.
She's seen the suspicious behavior, the questionable encounters, and enough red flags to decorate an entire parade. But there's just one problem.
Christie refuses to believe a word of it.
Determined to protect her best friend from heartbreak, Min finds herself at a traveling Japanese folklore exhibit, where an ancient lantern holds something far more interesting than a museum artifact.
Enter Kimi.
Beautiful, mischievous, and sporting nine fluffy fox tails, Kimi is a kitsune—a supernatural trickster spirit with a talent for uncovering secrets and absolutely no reservations about meddling in human affairs.
And she has a plan.
Exposing a cheating husband should be simple enough, especially with a nine-tailed fox spirit helping.
Unfortunately, things are rarely that straightforward when ancient magic gets involved.
As Min's carefully arranged confrontation spirals into chaos, strange inconsistencies emerge, impossible discoveries turn everything upside down, and a seemingly ordinary marital mystery becomes tangled in secrets reaching back centuries.
Because sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction... and the biggest trick isn't always the one you think you're seeing.
Welcome to Kitsune's Intervention: A Case of a Very Inconvenient Youkai, a delightfully mischievous supernatural mystery where friendship, folklore, and spectacularly misguided good intentions collide.
Blending contemporary urban fantasy, Japanese mythology, supernatural mystery, humor, and heartfelt friendship, Kitsune's Intervention introduces unforgettable characters, ancient misunderstandings, and a magical adventure where absolutely nothing goes according to plan.
